São Paulo Airport Guide

São Paulo Airport is the biggest airport in Brazil, and the major international gateway.

If you really want the correct name for the airport, it is São Paulo/Guarulhosā€“Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport, named after a Governor of São Paulo in the 70s. Locals just call it Cumbica Airport after the district where it is located.

São Paulo Airport Terminal 1

Terminal 1 was the initial terminal when the airport opened in 1985.

Terminal 1 is used by TAM, British Airways, Delta, Iberia, Singapore Airlines, and United.

São Paulo Airport Terminal 2

Terminal 2 is used by GOL, Air Canada, American Airlines, Emirates, LAN, Lufthansa, Qatar, Swiss, South African, and Turkish Airlines.

São Paulo Airport International Terminal 3

Construction of the brand new terminal 3 started in 2001. Lengthy delays means it is expected to be complete by 2020.

São Paulo Airport Domestic Terminal 4

The airport still doesn't have a Terminal 3, however it does have a terminal 4. In order to relieve the acute overcrowding at Terminals 1 and 2, the former cargo terminals of defunct airlines VASP and Transbrasil, are now used a domestic-only passenger terminal. It is not recommended for comfort.
