Manchester Airport Escape Lounge Terminal 3

The Manchester Escape Lounge Terminal 3 is the standard, generic, airport lounge at Manchester Airport Terminal 3.

To find the entrance to the lounge, look beside the very noisy bar, and head along the long corridor, then up.

There is a reception desk at the top, who will be very happy to take your money - but for a much better deal, pay in advance.

Escape operate three lounges at Manchester Airport, but the Terminal 3 one seems to be the nicest. It has a great 'adults only' area overlooking the bar below, which is an area that used to be the BA lounge, next door.

The central part is divided into two, with hard plastic dining chairs, and more comfortable loungey arm chairs. There is a bar in one corner, and food in the other. All with a rather unique brown and lime green colour scheme.

Incidentally, this lounge was once part of the British Airways lounge. Then it was operated by FlyBE for about 7 years. And finally, the airport took it over, and now operates it as a pay on the door lounge.

Bar

The Manchester Escape Lounge has a manned bar offering a full selection of beers wines and spirits. Most drinks come as part of your purchase price, but champagne comes with an extra, rather hefty price tag.

The bar in the Manchester Escape Lounge Terminal 3 is rather better than in the BA lounge, with 4 whites, 4 reds, all the usual beers, and Boddingtons - the Cream of Manchester.

Don't miss the large line up of spirits, and the barman is happy to mix up cocktails.

Food

Food is rather poor, in a buffet, with the option of two hot meals and sandwiches on a shelf.

There are chunks of cheddar in the fridge at all times.

Breakfast is good in the MAN Escape T3: there are bacon bagettes and sausage rolls, plus a selection of cereals, pastries, fruit and yoghurt.

Alas, most people try and get their money's worth, and the food goes very quickly.

Business Facilities

There are a few work desks, but no computers.

Free wifi, but it is very slow.

There are several newspaper racks in the lounge, with a full selection of all the UK dailies, including oddly The Guardian, which is rare for an airport lounge. There are also a few glossy magazines.

Bathrooms

In lounge.
