At Chicago O'Hare International Airport, United has four United Clubs for members, their guests, and Star Alliance Gold travellers.
A new Polaris Lounge for long-haul business class travellers was built by closing the once-expansive Terminal 1 Concourse C area for two years. The United Club close to gate C16 eventually reopened in January 2018, although with a significantly smaller space. Even while the lounge has a fresh look, it can only hold roughly 100 people, significantly fewer than the needs of United's busiest concourse at O'Hare.
One-time passes are not accepted at this location due to capacity limitations. A bigger and newer club is now being planned.
