British Airways Galleries Belfast (BHD) Lounge
British Airways Lounge
The British Airways Belfast City Lounge is a surprisingly good lounge for a small outpost.
The Belfast City Airport British Airways Lounge is one of BA's smallest regional lounges, but it's still pretty well equipped, with the rare delight of boarding straight from the lounge to the aircraft - something normally only found at international airports.
The food is typically porridge and pastries, but the bar is large and extensive, as befits a lounge which gets most of it's business from the afternoon flights to London.
Belfast (BHD) British Airways Galleries lounge review
Belfast City British Airways Lounge
The British Airways Lounge at Belfast City Airport is a pleasant, but small lounge. Revamped in 2014, it is in the airlines almost but not quite latest style, and is a pleasant place to spend a hour before flights.
Effectively one long thing rectangle, it's found at the far end of the terminal on the upper floor, down the same corridor as the Aspire lounge.
There is a simple reception desk at the entrance, and then banks of seats with a buffet in the middle.
Single rather stylish arm chairs are the name of the game, arranged in pairs on each side of the lounge: presumably because most people travel as a couple, but not so good for single passengers.
In the middle of the lounge there are dining tables.
Towards the rear of the lounge is a long working table, ideal if you have a laptop and want to sit down at a proper desk.
When it comes to board, the lounge announce that your aircraft is ready, and you board directly from the lounge to the aeroplane.
Food
Belfast (BHD) British Airways Lounge
Food in the BA Belfast Lounge is basic, but OK.
There are sandwiches and soup during the day.
Morning departures get breakfast with cereal, porridge and croissants plus fruit.
There are also nuts, cheese and crackers, and crisps.
Bar
The bar is pretty decent, with a good selection of four types of red and white wine.Beer is in the fridge, in cans, including Guinness, Tribute, and Amstel.
Spirits include all the usual BA staples, including Baileys, Kalua, Grey Goose vodka, Johnny Walker whisky, Southern Comfort, JD, and Gordon's Gin.
Business Facilities
Wifi, and a vast newspaper rack in the middle of the lounge. Alas, there isn't much of interest on the rack.Bathrooms
