Business Lounge Sarajevo Airport

The brand new Business Lounge at Sarajevo Airport is surprisingly good.

Opened very recently, it is vastly larger than the old lounge, with seating for 100 people, and room for many more.

There is now improved food too, plus a decent bar, which is open all day.

The only surprise is that the new lounge is totally inside: the old lounge had a glorious view. The new Business Lounge at Sarajevo Airport does not.

Sarajevo Airport Business lounge review

At Sarajevo International Airport, the new business class lounge is available, and it is surprisingly good.

It is a little bit tucked away - you have to know it is there, and actively hunt it down. It is located on the top floor, at the end of the concourse of the new part of Terminal B, after passport control, past the small cafe bar, and then you wiggle around the pillars.

The Business Lounge at Sarajevo Airport is best described as 'beige'. With magnolia coloured seats, on a sandstone floor, with light brown walls. Thankfully some stripes of colour, a few posters remembering the Olympics before the war, and even a living moss wall, add colour accents to small areas.

As you enter there is a large reception desk, which is frequently left unattended, having the bathrooms to the left, and the main part of the lounge to the right.

The lounge is in effect one large room covering 268 square meters, with seats for 105 people. There are absolutely no windows, which is a shame and adds to the rather drab feel.

There are however quite a few seating areas, from the fining tables in the middle of the lounge, to the arm chairs at the end, a couple of curved wall mounted sofas, and even a large upright sit up workbench, with greenery in the middle.

In the far corner is the self serve food counter, with a couple of bar fridges.

Food

The food options are minimal: sandwiches wrapped in cellophane along with a few sweet and savoury snacks.

And that's about it. There are some pastries in the morning, and some desserts in the afternoon.

Packets of crisps and nuts on the workbench complete the mix.

Adding to the rather spartan feel are the passengers on low-cost airlines who sometimes come in, empty the fridge of sandwiches into their bag. And then walk out again.

Bar

The drink selections are far from modest, and indeed are better than the food.

On the workstop are local Bosnian red and white wines, in small bottles.

In the fridge is Sarajevo Beer.

There is a good coffee machine, and soft drinks are in cans in the fridge too.

Business Facilities

Free wifi.

Some local newspapers.

Bathrooms

Outside lounge, by reception.
