Sarajevo International Airport is a small regional airport that serves as the main international airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Just three miles from the centre of Sarajevo, it can be quite a busy place. Over a million passengers transit through the airport each year.

The brand new four story terminal building is smart, new, and fresh - unlike most of the rest of the surrounding area. It is 10,000 sqm, has two cafes, and can handle 2 million passengers per year. There are no less than three jet bridges.

There is a novel form of transport to the airport. The airport is connected with Sarajevo's city centre with trolleybus number 103, operated by the GRAS transport company.
Sarajevo Airport shuttle bus services
Centrotrans Eurolines, in cooperation with Sarajevo International Airport, provide a bus service Airport - Baščaršija City Center - Airport. The bus stand is just outside of the arrivals area in the main terminal. The price of a one-way ticket is €2.50. WiFi internet is available on board
Sarajevo Airport taxi services
Getting a taxi to and from Sarajevo Airport is usually a nightmare. Do not accept any offers from anyone in the terminal building for a 'taxi'. Note that touts and unregulated taxis also sit in the taxi lane. Check the taxi has a meter and will accept cards.A regular taxi costs 6 euro to get to the city centre.
An unregulated taxi will cost more that 60euros, and upwards.
