The Emirates Lounge, Dubai Concourse C is both the over spill area from the main Business Class lounge, and also a shared 'business class and first class' lounge.

The perk here is that it has been redone in the new Emirates style.

The downside is it can be insanely busy.

It can also be hard to find - it is between gates 9 and 11.

Finding the Emirates lounge Concourse C is your first challenge. There is only a small sign over the door, which is inset from the concourse, so only a few passengers know that the lounge is here. Which makes it odd that it is so insanely busy. It is less a 'secret' retreat, and more an open secret for anyone who is gold or above, and has the misfortune to fly from the C gates.

Once inside, there are seats to the right and left, while the dining is on the left, and left again. However, there is often a massive shortage of places to sit, with it being insanely busy.

There are high open ceilings, and a nice roundel as you enter which makes it pleasant, but there is no getting away from the problem that it is far too small.

Don't miss the gelato cart parked down the end.

Food

There are hot dishes in the dining area.

There is also a small buffet with cold cuts, cheese, rolls and small dishes. However, this is pretty basic.

However, the desert selection is really good, with lots of choice.

Bar

There is a full Emirates bar.

Spirits are on the worktop, with all the main brands you might expect.

Wine is slightly better in this lounge than in most of the other Dubai lounges. There are wine bottles in the fridges, and for once a good selection.

Business Facilities

There are four computers, but they are plonked at the end of the lounge, where everyone can see your computer.

Worse, due to the overcrowding, often people just sit at the computers to eat their food.

Free wifi - quite fast.

Newspaper rack by the roundel at you come in, and one of the best of the lounges in Dubai.

Bathrooms

In lounge.

Showers - all of four shower suites.

Access

The Emirates Lounges at Dubai are now available for economy passengers, who can just buy their way in on the door for US$100 when travelling with Emirates, or on an Emirates codeshare flight operated by Qantas.
