Alaskan Airlines Concourse D Seattle Lounge

Alaskan Airlines Concourse D Lounge

The Alaska Airlines boardroom Seattle is pretty good; a world away from the often chaotic (damp, grey and miserable) SeaTac airport.

Mind you, it's not very easy to find, with just a small door inset into the wall.

However, the two-level Alaska Airlines Alaska Lounge in Satellite Dcomes with award-winning views of the runway, a full bar, and fast Wi-Fi.

The Alaska Airlines boardroom Seattle is a lovely, two level lounge, with a great view of the airport apron, runway, and the distant mountains. Alas it is also often fairly crowded, particularly on the ground floor which most people use: the stairs are hidden away by reception, and are quite steep.

At the top of the stairs the board room opens out, but because it has more of a club away from home feel upstairs, the upper first floor is more noisy, with passengers chatting on their phones.

On each floor there is just one large room, with comfy chairs in the middle, and a shelf running around the windows looking out at the rain. On the inner wall there is a small corridor with toilets and the bar: next to the door into this there is the 'snack' counter, but don't expect much here.

Bar

There are identical bars on both floors, and in the typical American way, the bars are little more than serving hatches through to the service areas. These bars are staffed, with free beer (including Alaskan Amber), wine, and cocktails (vodka based only). However if you want wine or spirits you've heard of, you need to pay $5 a pop. The bar staff expect a tip too, but Alaska Airlines boardroom Seattle reviews generally note that the bar staff in Seattle are quite friendly, and often have a free cocktail of the month.

Food

Seattle boardroom Food is also, as you would expect, pretty basic. There are some free snacks, with nuts, biscuits, vegetarian chili, fruit, carrots and Caesar dipping sauces. Don't however miss the amazing free pancake machine, next to which there is a jar of maple syrup and a pot of strawberry jam.
