Delta Airlines Sky Club Miami Lounge
The Miami Delta Airlines Sky Club lounge is a small, and rather isolated club in the separate H concourse.
It has a decent bar, OK food, and lots of seats crammed into pretty much every corner.
However, it is newly renovated, and looks great.
Miami Delta Airlines Sky Club lounge review
The Miami Delta Airlines Sky Club lounge is at the end of Terminal (Concourse) H and it is a bit of a walk to the end of the concourse. But that's as nothing as to the walk up to level 4 where the lounge reception is: or you can take the lift.
The Delta SkyClub Miami entrance and the reception are also so way apart, but don't think you can sneak in, as the lounge reception keeps a close eye on the lounge.
Once you arrive in the lift, or come up the stairs, there's a small sitting area at the very end of the lounge.
The newly refurbished Sky Club has a great bar, food area, and an art gallery no less.
However the renovations mean that the well-appointed Skyclub has the latest signature Delta design elements, and is light bright and open, albeit manically busy. At one end there is a large window which gives a great view of the airport apron.
The Miami Delta Skyclub has shower suites to a quiet room where mobile (cell) phones are banned, and a separate business centre.
However it is the art gallery this lounge is known for, and it is a novel idea, and the art is on the edgier side.
Beyond here is a seating nook which is also the mobile phone free area.
The main part of the lounge is split into two, with the food and bar on one side, and the dining & sitting area on the other. The food counter directly opposite the bar looks amazing, and it has a bright white quartz surface which catches the eye, as do the flower arrangements.
Food
Continental breakfast is available in the morning, followed by soups, salads, bar treats and biscuits throughout the day. The Salad is quite good. There are real salt and pepper grinders, or a selection of pre-peeled hard boiled eggs on a gleaming white egg tray.
At the end of the counter is a Starbucks style setup at the end with two types of espresso machines and a regular Starbucks machine plus some syrups and dairy additives.
Bar
This Sky Club features what Delta like to call the "Luxury bar" concept.
That means the bar is tended and that premium drinks are available at a cost. House wine and cocktails are complimentary.
Bathrooms
Clean, convenient and well-appointed shower suites are available.Just ask the staff on the desk, and they will direct you. They have towels as well as amenities such as toothbrushes, combs and deodorants.
Access
The Delta Miami SkyClub is one of the few Delta lounges which understand the rules of Virgin Velocity Gold and Platinum, and will grant access without a fight.
Other than that, its the usual access rules of Delta Sky Club members at any time, Delta Sky Club one-day pass holders, Delta First Class, BusinessElite, or full-fare economy passengers departing on a same-day transcontinental flight, Delta BusinessElite passengers departing on a same-day international flight, International First and Business Class passengers departing on or connecting to/from a same-day international flight operated by a SkyTeam member, and SkyTeam Elite Plus members departing on or connecting to/from a same-day international flight operated by a SkyTeam member.
The Delta SkyClub is located in Miami's Concourse H. That's one of the smaller terminals at the airport, and it's only connected airside to Concourse J.
