British Airways Concorde Room New York JFK Lounge

The British Airways Concorde Room at New York JFK is very much the elite of the elite lounges at Keneddy Airport.

You can't get access with a Frequent Flyer card - instead, you really need to by flying in First Class with a BA ticket. It is definitely a step above the First lounge.

You can confirm your entry at First Class check in, who will remind you that the Concorde Room is not near the other BA lounges, it is at the other end of the Terminal. Head to Gate 1.

It was originally designed by Sir Terence Conran with a major refurbishment in 2011, and a spruce up in 2020. The main perk is the dining room, and at seat waiter service, plus the markedly uprated wine.

The Concorde Room has a neat elegant grey colour scheme, and plenty of large squashy armchairs. Alas, power sockets are rather lacking, but it does have a novelty of a grand piano which you are invited to play.

Food

Of course the New York JFK British Airways Concorde Room lounge is about the all-important dining room.

You are served at your seat, by waiter who occasionally is even knowledgeable. As soon as you sit down you get a nice bread basket at the table with olives and olive oil to dip the bread into.

The LHR BA Burger is called here the 'Impossible burger'. It is very good.

But there are plenty of other options on the menu, and you can do the five course dinner in style if you don't want to eat no the plane.

Bar

Of course there is champagne available, but it is a quiet pedestrian Pommery.

However, if you ask, you can get a decent Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle. It is over a hundred quid a bottle in Tescos.

Business Facilities

There is a very tiny business centre with some modern computers, and a printer.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are in the lounge.

There are no showers or a spa. Instead, head to the main lounges for these.

Access

Ticketed First Class passengers only, on British Airways.

No paid access. No access with a Frequent Flyer card.
