American Airlines Admirals Club New York JFK Lounge
The rather down at heel New York JFK American Airlines Admirals Club lounge Concourse C is the only option if you have an AA Club membership at JFK.
It used to be one of the best of the bunch on the network, but it's now looking rather down at heel.
Never the less, it has had a spruce up, with some new furniture, better food, and a slightly improved bar.

If you don't qualify for the excellent American Airlines JFK Flagship Lounge for First and Business class, and frequent flyers, then it is the American Airlines Admirals Club New York JFK Lounge for you!
This is a shame, because while the Flagship Lounge JFK's high-end lounge space is soothing, a stop into the Admirals Club shows how things used to be done on AA twenty years ago, with basic amenities, and rather dull furniture. Inspiring, it is not.
The lounge is located one floor above the terminal level close to the exit from the underground connector from security. Just follow the escalator all the way down into the basement, and up again. There is a large reception area, with three podiums: alas, if they are busy rebooking passengers, you'll just have to wait until they are finished.
With 255 seats it is frequently very crowded. There is just one rather dull bar at one end, with old style bar seating, and insipid beige furniture. It beats sitting out in the terminal, but only just.
As you walk in, the main bar is right in front of you, then you can curve left, and there is a cafe style area where you can buy food, or get some of the very basic, simple, snacks. Curve around again, and there is a long large sitting area with banks of armchairs. Then there is a children's room, a small alcove, and that's about it.
However, there is a separate part of the lounge, behind reception. This used to be the old business centre, and doubles as a quiet room. It is low and dark, and perfect for a snooze. With dark brown armchairs and a strange triangular design, it is totally different to the main part of the lounge.
Food
There are free pastries, bagels, cereal, fruit and vegetables, hummus and crackers, and bread and cheese in the mornings.
Soups and pasta salad is available all day.
There is also the obligatory Snack Tower of Sadness - known as the three jars containing nuts and trail mix.
However, if you want to buy food, you can. The snackbar has some of the rather simple food on show, and available for a price. From cheese sandwiches to some basic hot food and burgers, the menu is on the counter.
Bar
The bar can rate as 'OK' but that's about it. Be warned most of the beer and spirits have to be paid for.Free drinks include two types of wine - Trinity Oaks chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon - plus a couple of draft beers: Anheuser-Busch or MillerCoors.
There are three simple house spirits available, with a non-descript gin, vodka, and whisky. Again, for everything else, you have to pay for it.
Business Facilities
There are three PCs on a shelf right beside the bar.

In the old business centre, across from reception, there are also work booths.

Admirals Club annual and lifetime members, AAdvantage MasterCard cardholders, ConciergeKey members, eligible AirPass members, qualifying first-class and business-class passengers, AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro, and Platinum members, and oneworld Emerald and Sapphire passengers flying on member airlines.
An Admirals Club JFK airport day pass are no longer available - they used to be 59 USD.
