Swiss Business Zurich Lounge D
The Swiss Business Class Lounge D at Zurich Airport is in the non-Schengen Area of the B/D pier (the one with dual gates) and is typically used for short flights such as Zurich to London.
Lighting is also kept dim, with blinds down over most of the windows.
There is a pretty standard buffet, a decent bar, and hot soup, but it is pretty small and dull. While you can kill and hour or so here, the lounge is nothing to get excited about.

The Zurich Swiss Business Class Lounge D is an OK, if not exceptional lounge at the Zurich Hub of Swiss.
Finding the lounge is a bit of a track - and as such you might want to go to the Swiss Business Class Zurich Lounge at the A gates first.
Then bear left at the central part of the terminal, head through passport control, and then along the D pier, before decending into the basement. It is quite a trek, before you get to the lounge corridor with the Business Lounge on the left, and the Senator Lounge on the right.
The first thing you notice is how small the Swiss Business Class Lounge D at Zurich Airport is. the second, is how dim it is kept: there is very limited natural light. And with a good reason too - lighting is also kept dim, with blinds down over most of the windows, becuase there is no air conditioning in the lounge. On a hot sunny day, the heat beats down. And that's a pity, as there are good views out towards the apron.
The Zurich Swiss Business Class Lounge D comes in two main parts, with a central spine wall. There is the buffet, and some basic seating on the reception side, while on the other side of the wall in the main seating area, shelf seating at the windows, and inland from that a kind of business / dull area with one computer.
There are plenty of large leather armchairs. Alas, ony a few of these seats have power sockets next to them, near the lamps. Quite often these sockets are connected to a fan moving the hot air around.
The lounge is OK, if nothing special: the main issue seems to be it only serves a few flights a day, such as the short haul non-schengen flights such as to London Heathrow: as such, it can either be an elegant waiting room, or a crowded dull area in what seems like a small regional lounge with not a lot to do, depending on the time of day and what you want from a lounge.
Food
There is a small buffet dining service in the D lounge.
At the end there are two soup cauldrons. Then on the right are two hot dishes, typically a pasta or chicken with rice.
On the other side of this is a fridge with cold cuts of meat and cheese, plus salads with quite a few dressings.
There are also some nice breads on the worktop.
At the end of the buffet there is a fridge with Movenpick ice cream.
Bar
The bar is pretty good in the Swiss Business Class Zurich Lounge D - indeed, it is the best part of the lounge.Wine is on the worktop with red, white and sparkling wines, typically from France.
There are quite a few spirits, free pour on the counter.
Soft drinks are in the fridge, along with fruit juice, and water.
Beer is pretty decent, with three German varieties.
There is also and espresso coffee machine.
Business Facilities
There is a long wrap around work bench, with plenty of plug sockets, and as befits a lounge where the sole main route is the UK, it has both European and UK-style plugs.Alas, there is now only one computer - a rather slow PC, right on the end of the bench.
There is also a dedicated WiFi network in the Swiss D gate lounge.
There is however a very good newspaper rack by reception.
Bathrooms
Alas, unbelievably, there is not bathroom inside the Zurich Swiss Business Class Lounge D.Instead you have to leave the lounge and use the public toilets down the hall.
Access
SWISS and Lufthansa first and business class, Miles & More Senator, HON Circle frequent flyers departing on a Lufthansa, Star Alliance or eligible codeshare partner flight.

Amazingly, the Zurich Swiss Business lounge review D gates non-Schengen is also a priority Pass lounge, unlike the ones at the A gates. However, payment is not accepted on the door.
However, in economy, you can also buy a one day lounge pass to the Swiss Lounges directly off the Swiss Air website. It costs 49CHF (£30GBP) which is more expensive than Priority Pass, but can be worth it for a one off visit.
