Lufthansa Business Class Frankfurt Lounge B24
As one of the two Lufthansa Business Class Lounges in the twin rotundas in the non-Schengen (non-EU) part of the terminal, it does an OK but not spectacular job.
Large and circular, it gets a lot of traffic, and there are always people arriving or leaving through the lounge.
There is buffet catering, a decent bar, and plenty of seats.
You can just about the see runways from the lounge, but the views aren't the best.
However, the lounge is showing it's age: some of the seats are worn, as are the carpets. If you are a Star Alliance Gold there are far better lounges.
Frankfurt Lufthansa Business Class B24-B28 lounge review Non-Schengen
The Frankfurt Lufthansa Business Class Lounge at the Concourse B West, in the middle of gates B24-B28 is for most of the Non-Schengen flights to the UK and other long haul areas. It has a sterile decor with few flourishes, and only a so-so selection of food and drinks.
However, the lounge can get crowded over peak hours.
The lounge is right in the middle of the circular concourse and gates; access is via the stairs or the lift, but first you have to get past the security check at the bottom of the lift, and then just pass the desk at the top of the stairs: it's quite an odd system.
The lounge is laid out in a circular pattern, matching the terminal, and it's quite large.
Firstly you enter the large business centre, with long rows of work benches, which look totally un-enticing. There are high, wobbly, metal stools.
in the central area there are dining room with tables and chairs, while against the window are some high-top cafe-style tables with four high seats around then, which are great for looking at the view.
At the far end is a kind of circular area, a children's play room, and lockers for luggage stowage.
Food
All the food and drinks are on a buffet refectory counter against the inner wall of the lounge.
As far as breakfast options included sausages and baked beans, plus eggs (scrambled and hardboiled). There are muffins, cake, cereal, muesli, a variety of rolls and croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, veggies and dips.
Then from 11am onwards, there is hot food with a couple of tubs with a hot curry and rice.
A new feature of Lufthansa lounges is each Business Class lounge has a 'special meal' of the month: it can be cheese fondue one month, and then ramen soup the next. These appear on a little stall opposite the hot food.
There are also the famous Lufthansa 'snack towers of sadness', with half a dozen towers of sweets and crisps.
Bar
There is a self serve bar in the Lufthansa Business Class Frankfurt Lounge. It's not the best, but it's better than nothing - and certainly better than on the Business side.
On the glass shelf a good spread of a dozen or so bottles of self serve spirits, with everything from Bombay Sapphire Ginto Campari and Jack Daniels.
Next to these are a couple of bottles red wines.
In the chilled trough are all the white wines, and there can be quite a few, plus some German beer such as Becks.
There are also a couple of draft beer taps, with a German beer.
There is also an ice bucket, with bottles of white wine, and red next to it. It's not the best, but it does.

Lufthansa business class passengers, as well as business class passengers on all Star Alliance partner airlines; no guests are allowed.
Star Alliance Gold members can also use the lounge and bring a guest when flying Star Alliance the same day; however, they can also use the (theoretically better) Lufthansa Senator Lounges.
Lufthansa Miles & More Frequent Traveller members (which otherwise only equates to Star Alliance Silver); no guests are allowed.
Lufthansa and SWISS Miles & More Senator, HON Circle frequent flyers departing on a Lufthansa, Star Alliance or eligible codeshare partner flight.
