Primeclass Paris CDG Lounge
The new Primeclass Lounge Paris is actually the old Etihad Paris lounge.
A lovely small lounge, it still retains all the usual Etihad features, but now operates as a pay-in lounge, but quite good quality being a cut above the rest. There is a restaurant, bar, and great seating. A children's room, showers, and computers.
Paris CDG Primeclass lounge review
The Primeclass Lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport Terminals 2A-C is the re-incarnation of the defunct Etihad First and Business Class Lounge.
Almost a perfect example of what you want in a small outstation lounge, the Etihad Lounge Paris has a curved central spine, lots of blue and brown seats at one end, and the library at the other. This has windows overlooking the tarmac.
In the rear most part of the lounge was a small room separated by a glass screen, which was originally designed for First Class and passengers traveling in The Residence, but is now open to all.
The dining area is in the middle of the lounge, but alas only has nine tables - you need to be quick to get one. Otherwise there are seats at the bar, and orange seats on a shelf looking out through the window.
Right at the far end is a small play area for children, with a TV.
The interior is adorned with vases by the French glassblower Jean-Claude Navaro, 3D art by Jean-Francois Larrieu, and Arabian art by the Iraqi calligrapher, Hassan Massoudy.
The new Etihad lounge Paris CDG was opened in 2013, and was converted to a Primeclass lounge in the summer of 2024.
Officially called the Salon Etihad Paris CDG, the Etihad CDG lounge is in T2A, in the shopping centre between T2A and T2C at Charles d 'Gaulle, so it is easily accessible without a bus trip, and it's only a short walk from checkin. Alas, it can also be a long time queuing unless you ask for a pink express card to zip through security, and then head to Ladure (a famous French macarons bakery) and turn right, up in the lift, and onto the top floor of the terminal, around an oval void, next to the Paris Emirates lounge.
Food
There is a small buffet, and you can take a pick of salad, Arabic finger food, mezze, and some desserts. The cheese selection is worthy of note. There are also three tubs of hot dishes, with hot dishes, often with fish, chicken, vegetables, rice and pasta.
However, most passengers eat off the a la carte menu. This has four or five hot dishes, the soup of the day, and the Etihad Paris Burger, no less.
Bar
There are four seats at the staffed bar, and the lounge staff are very happy to make up drinks for you.A small selection of wine is kept beside the buffet, but typically you have to ask for a drink.
There is also an odd, stand alone fridge, blocking the window, with soft drinks and beer.
Business Facilities
There is a Small business centre, however the computers have been removed with the reincarnation of the Primeclass lounge. There are a few French newspapers.
Free wifi, but it is very slow.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms and showers are amazing, and many airlines could learn about how to do lounge bathrooms from Etihad.
Access
Etihad Business and First Class.
You buy access to the Primeclass Paris CDG Lounge for just 60 euro on the door.
