The Prague Airport Mastercard Lounge is a bit of a novelty. There are plenty of other credit card branded lounges, but Mastercard, and it's own brand of lounge access LoungeKey, has very few. But here it is, in the relative backwater of Prague, and it's a good one too with a decent bar, amazing runway views, and good fod with some nice hot options. All in all, it's one of the nicest lounges at Prague.

The Prague Airport Mastercard Lounge Terminal 1 Non-Schengen is found right after passport control, but before security, in the non-Schengen area, for UK, Korean and US flights from Prague. After duty free, follow the signs to the "Airport Lounges" towards the Pier B. The lounge is located on the left side, on the second floor.

The MasterCard Lounge in Prague is large, with amazing floor to ceiling windows. It's in the old CSA Czech Airlines lounge area (before CSA abandoned Business Class) and so it has a quite decent floor area, split over three areas. Around reception there are small tables, and indeed the bathrooms. In the middle is a buffet with a Prague cityscape wall. And at the far end if the main seating area, with lots of great runway views and seats set-up for two people. Alas solo travellers, or families, may struggle to find somewhere to sit.

Next door to this Mastercard Prague Lounge is the MasterCard Elite Lounge at Prague airport. It is in effect a small private room, at double the cost, but it does have it's own small private bar.

Food

Food in the Prague Airport Mastercard Lounge Terminal 1 is a notch above the lounges in Terminal 2, reflecting the longer flight times. There is hot food (lunchtime only)!

The hot food consists of one tub with a hot dish, typically chicken of the usual Czech type wrapped in breadcrumbs (a schnitzel) or nuggets, plus rice or pasta. There is also a soup of the day.

Open sandwiches, as is typical of Prague, are also in the fridge. Typically there are four types with labels, such as a salami & potato salad version, some type of seafood, ham and cucumber, and a vegetarian option.

There are also nuts, chips, and pretzels.

At breakfast time there are three types of cereal in large dispensers, fruit, types of Czech breads plus jam and cheese.

Bar

The bar in the Prague Menzies Lounge is basic, with bottles of Pilsner in the fridge.

There are bottles of Czech red wine on the worktop, and a fairly non descript white in the fridge.

There are also bottles of spirits - five of them, on optics, including Smirnoff Vodka, Beefeater gin, Red Label whisky, Southern Comfort, and the famous Czech spirit called Becherovka. At 40%, avoid before a flight.
