Brussels Airlines Suite Brussels Lounge

Brussels Airlines The Suite lounge at Brussels Airport terminal B is the airlines main new business lounge centred around comfort, technology, design and Belgian gastronomy, design ed for Non-Schengen flights (long haul, and UK flights).

The Brussels Airlines Suite Lounge is pretty small, and frequently packed as it serves all Star Alliance Gold flights, so if you have some time to wait it can be worth walking back through passport control to to Pier A, but you will need an EU passport to do this.

Brussels Brussels Airlines Suite lounge review

The Suite is the new lounge for Business Class guests and frequent flyers, who depart from the Brussels Airport B Pier, which is for Non-Schengen flights (long haul, and UK flights). The Suite can seat 160 passengers, with another 100 guests across the hallway. At 640 square meters, it is made up of eight different hubs, each with their own function, and two separate areas.

The design of the lounge is top notch, with architectural firm DesignIt going for a Scandinavian minimalist design with white surfaces, light walls and clean lines dominating the decor.

As you enter, you'll find two separate areas. To the left is the main seating area, with leather armchairs. On the right is a the main food and dining area with small tables that resemble school desks.

There are elegant hardwood floors, and designer light fixtures - it is worth taking a look around.

The floor to ceiling windows are impressive, with a great view of the airport. Alas, all these hard surfaces can mean it can get very loud indeed, and packed too, particularly early morning, and then late evening. However, pop in mid-afternoon and you can be the only one in here.

At the back of the Suite lounge on the right hand side is a more relaxed area with a more intimate and subdued atmosphere, with carpets, a bit of colour and elegant Belgian furniture.

There is also a small nap room, with five snooze beds, and a small alley seating area with magazines.

Don't miss the small area at the back of reception. In theory this is the VIP area, but anyone can use it.

A major downside of the Suite lounge is that it can get packed, and then some, at peak times, particularly since the SAS lounge closed, which is why there is a small overflow space for another 100 passengers beside reception.

Food

There is a central buffet with a range of Belgian and international food, including salads, quiches, waffles, and a variety of desserts.

Breakfast has just freshly baked pastries.

However, there is no hot food, and the salad is decidedly underwhelming.

Bar

There is also a circular bar island, which features a selection of Belgian beers on tap (the bar is in partnership with Beer Company AB Inbev) and also has some wines and Champagne.

Bathrooms

In lounge.

Access

Brussels airlines and Lufthansa first and business class, Miles & More Senator, HON Circle frequent flyers departing on a Lufthansa, Star Alliance or eligible codeshare partner flight and Star Alliance Gold cardholders departing on a same-day Lufthansa or Star Alliance flight.

If you are on a flex ticket in economy, you can also gain access for 29euro.

Located at Brussels airport Terminal B within the Non-Schengen zone, the Suite lounge serves Star Alliance Gold.

As the lounge is so small, and sometimes so packed, it can be worth while walking from Pier B to Pier A. This involves going through passport control, so you may want to leave some time to do this, but means you can get to the much bigger Brussels Airlines Loft lounge.
