Sky Vienna Airport Lounge

The Vienna Airport Sky lounge is a pay-in third part lounge, within the Schengen area, and therefore the lounge before passport control, for inter-Europe flights. It is also the larger of the two third party lounges and has 200 seats over 750 square meters.

Previously known as the Jet lounge, the Sky lounge is open to all, including passengers in economy.

NEWS: Renovations of the Jet Lounge at Vienna are complete.

Vienna Airport Sky lounge review

To find the Sky lounge, head to the shopping area, and opposite the Swarovski and Disney Shop is a small flight of curved stairs, and a small, slow lift. It's so slow, many passengers bump their bags up the stairs. At the top is the small reception desk.

From here, there are two main parts to the lounge, and two small enclosed rooms for those with the relevant credit card giving access.

If you head behind reception there is a large greenhouse style area, and a small bar, plus a lightwell area, down some steps. It's usually pretty quiet.

However, if you stay in the main central round area, there is the large dining area on the far side, a small and rather worn seating area, and two small rooms for Amex and Vienna credit card holders.

The dining area has lots of tables and chairs, of a rather uncomfortable IKEA plywood and metal frame design. In this area there are also vast TV screens playing CNN, sometimes at high volume.

In the second area behind the reception, there are more comfortable seats, and a long buffet area. There are blinds which are fully closed until the sun sets, then there is a nice runway view.

Bar

The Jet lounge Vienna has soft drinks, wine and beer.

There are large bottles of wine on the counter, or miniature bottles on the trolley.

Food

There is a snack buffet by Do & Co, with finger food.

The breakfast offering is quite poor with just pastries, however there is a hot option for lunch and dinner, with pasta, rolls and bread, cake, vegetable sticks and different dips.

Business Facilities

There is a wide range of international newspapers and magazines.

The lounge has Free WiFi.

There are PC workstations with free internet access, printer.

The Charging table is unique to the Jet lounge in Vienna, with USB charging ports.

Bathrooms

In Lounge.

Access

All passengers have the opportunity to use the lounge - regardless of the class of their ticket and/or the airline.

The price per passenger is EUR 44.00.
