Ambassador Terminal 3 Singapore Lounge
Basically one room on the balcony, the Ambassador Terminal 3 Singapore Lounge is compact, bijot, and a small room rammed with furniture. Unlike the open-air design of the SATS Premier lounges, the Ambassador Transit Lounge is pretty claustrophobic, although it does have windows.SIN: Singapore Terminal 3 - Ambassador Lounge - Pay per use lounge
The Singapore Changi Airport Ambassador Lounge is the general pay-per-use lounge at Singapore Terminal 3. It isn't too bad - and it is certainly better than the SATS Lounge, although both of these have windows which the Krisflyer Gold lounge doesn't have, but it does have better food. None of these are a patch on the SilverKris lounge, which has a much better bar. Note that this is not the Singapore Airport Ambassador Hotel. Paying for this, does not give you access to the other, and vice versa.
In effect you will end up at the Singapore Ambassador Lounge Terminal 3 if you are a Priority Pass customer, or you just want to pay for entry to a lounge during a stopover for a shower and a beer.
The lounge can get very crowded, although it is vastly bigger than the Ambassador lounge in the other two terminals. Seats are hard and uncomfortable outside, but here there is a great atmosphere. Thankfully there are windows, but even so it seems claustrophobic. Never the less it can be a haven if you have a stop over here for several hours.
Inside, it is more of a 'generic' lounge, but a fairly upmarket one.
There are alas no dining tables, so to eat, you have to nibble at an uncomfortable knee height unless you manage to get one of the seven individual chairs with a cocktail table.
Food
The general dining and drink station is in the corner, on the L shaped unit.Food is basic but ok. If you know the usual type of food at Singapore airport, you will know what you are getting. There are lots of packets of sandwiches - there are three types, all wrapped up tight in cling film. There is a small heated cabinet with some baked pastries in it, including miniture croissants and Danish pastries. There is also a bucket of soup.
Bar
The Bar is ok, but not that good. There is one type of white and red, but there is no champagne. There are a few bottles of spirits pf a generic type, mini pots of water, and a fridge with some fruit juice, including a Bloody Mary mix.
Note that if you ccess the lounge through a membership programme like Priority Pass will need to pay a la carte pricing for alcohol at S$6 per glass of wine, shot of liquor or can of beer. If you pay the walk-up rate of S$58, there is a free flow of alcohol is included.
