There is one phrase that many people say when they talk about Berlin Airport. "Is it open yet?" One of the most delayed construction projects in Germany is finally, at last, a decade late, open, and Berlin Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt (to give its full name) is an international airport in Schönefeld, just 11 miles (18km) south of the German capital and state of Berlin.

Totally unfulfilling the original hopes for the airport, there are mostly just a few flights to European destinations, plus a couple of long haul flights each day.
