NEWS: A new Car Rental Centre has been opened, along with a new car park.

Nice Airport is a large airport on the south coast of France - and very handy for holiday resorts in the Med. Correctly called Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur it is only 6 km (3.5 miles) southwest of Nice city centre. It can get insanely busy - being the busiest airport in France outside Paris - with over ten million passengers a year, and with several long haul flights. Nice Airport is located on the western end of the Promenade des Anglais, near l'Arénas - you can walk into the city if you are really determined.

Free wireless internet access is available throughout the airport, and there are also several internet kiosks.

The two airport terminals are linked by courtesy shuttle buses that also connect the car parks with the terminals.

Nice Airport Terminal 1

Most airlines use the older Terminal 1. Nice Côte d'Azur Airport Terminal 1 has a chemist on site. Terminal 1 also has a post office.

Nice Airport Terminal 2

Terminal 2 is used primarily by Air France (and skyteam partners), plus low cost airlines like Easyjet.

Nice Airport train

Strictly speaking there isn't an airport train as such at Nice, however SNCF do have local services from from Nice St Augustin railway station, 500m from Terminal 1. Nice Airport shuttle bus services

The main bus stop at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is just outside the Arrivals Hall in Terminal 2. Both express bus services cost €4EUR to the city. You can pay for your ticket on the bus, or at a small ticket office opposite the bus quais. Express bus 98 connects the airport T2 with Nice city centre, at the main Bus Station. Express bus 99 goes from the airport T2 to Nice Centre Ville Train Station. Domestic bus number 23 goes into Nice city centre - and it is a 1EUR bargain, but very slow.

Nice Airport taxi services

Getting a taxi to and from Nice Airport is usually trouble free. Taxis (are available 24 hours from stands located outside Arrivals at both terminals. Fares to central Nice cost up to €30EUR when the roads are busy during the peak summer season.
